HOW WE MET

In the bustling corridors of Tsun Jin High School, two teenagers unknowingly began a journey that would span over a decade. It was 2013 when Jing Xuan first noticed Kah Onn. Funnily enough, it wasn’t because she was interested in him at first but because of her best friend who had a crush on his friend. What began as mere curiousity soon turned into admiration when she found out that he was one of the “campus legends” who excelled in academics, co-curricular activities and sports.

Slowly, she found herself looking forward to moments when she’d see him in the school hallways or during co-curricular activities. Little by little, the shy glances eventually turned into conversations on Facebook.

THE FIRST DATE

Their first date was on 21 May 2014, they went to the movies with a bunch of friends right after their exams were finally over. The moment that they still remember vividly until now, was the nervous excitement and the warmth of holding hands for the first time. He drove her home later that evening, asked her to be his girlfriend and she said yes.

TAKING LOVE ABROAD

Life after high school graduation could have easily pulled them in different directions. To embark on a new chapter abroad, the couple worked hard to get admitted to the same university and started a new life in Hong Kong.

Despite navigating through the challenges of being away from home, exploring a new country together and juggling career demands during the years in Hong Kong, their relationship blossomed. They became each other’s support system, growing not just as individuals but as a team.

THE PROPOSAL

On the day of their 10th years of being together, the couple made a promise to take care of each other for the rest of their lives at a beautiful small town in Montreux, Switzerland.
